HIPAA Privacy

HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, through its Administrative Simplification provisions, requires health plans, health care clearinghouses, and health care providers to protect the privacy and security of the health information they have. Genworth Financial Employee Benefits Group complies with these provisions for the in scope HIPAA coverages it provides (generally, medical, prescription drug and dental plans).
Here you will find our HIPAA materials for individuals. In the Plan Administrator section of our toolkit, you will find additional HIPAA materials that will be helpful to plan administrators.
